Activities

We all enjoyed a great Christmas and it is with thanks that it went off so well. Christmas week was especially busy but very exciting. A big thank you to Mrs Patricia Morgan for the reading of The History of the Christingle. All residents had made, with help, a Christingle. Thanks go to the organisers who were Beverley Cotton, Stacey Bromhead, Sharon Nix and Wendy Freshwater. The rest of the staff were brilliant in making sure everything that was organised went off well. We had lots of food, drink, music and selective programmes from the television. We had a lovely day with Martyn the Music Man and thanks go to Phil Armstrong for leading the singing. His voice is brilliant.

Congratulations

Sue had her baby girl on December 11th. Number 3 in her family. Mother and baby are doing really well. She came in to see us and present Erin to Lime Tree Court a couple of days later.
Congratulations to Pearl on being blessed with her ninth great grandchild, a boy named Samuel on 27th December.

Hannah is going on Maternity leave on 7th January. Her baby is due in February.

Haven't we done well

I am delighted to announce that we have had a report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to say that we are Compliant in all the Standards that have recently been introduced. Residential and Nursing Homes are constantly under pressure to give good quality care with dignity and respect to their residents. The Inspectors are under pressure to raise the standards so they don?t give many ?brownie points? but we had a very satisfactory report and we are extremely proud. We don?t expect to sit on our laurels and will continue to get better If there is anything you think will help us improve our service then please tell a member of the staff and she will document it. You can always e mail me at georgierixon@hotmail.com

Positive Change

Moving from independent living to residential care can be a difficult time. To help new residents and their family?s we have produced a Residents Information Pack. The information sets out to answer questions about the services we provide, and daily life at Lime Tree Court. We hope this will be useful and help support new residents settle in at Lime Tree Court. Please ask for a copy. We also have a complaint?s procedure but we would ask any visitors to speak to the Senior Staff first so we can deal with any complaint as quickly as possible.

Your experience and views of what it is like living at Lime Tree Court is important to us. As part of our continued commitment to improve the service we provide and we plan to send a questionnaire. The questionnaires are a good way of hearing your views and suggestions. Staff will be happy to assist you to complete, the views from family and friends are also welcome. We will publish the findings in our News

Fund raising events at Lime Tree Court

We sent £40 to Cancer Research on wear it pink day

We sent £60 to Children in Need

Lime Tree Court held a Christmas raffle in aid of NSPCC charity. The raffle was drawn on 23rd of December and 34 prizes were collected. A really nice coffee morning was held to draw the tickets and 26 members of the Staff , Tracey our hairdresser, 3 children of staff members and 5 visitors all had winning tickets. This raised £100 for the Charity and it became £125 as it would have tax relief.

Well done to Beverley and her team for their hard work and thanks to Melanie, from the village, for the beautiful cake she donated and thank you to all those who donated prizes. It was a great day with lots of food and drink to enjoy whilst we were drawing the raffle.
